According to Plato’s Theory of Knowledge, the Realm of Eternity precedes the Realm of Space and Time. However, this form of precedence (as you will discover) is not Time-Measured.
The Adamic Soul (according to Plato’s Theory of Knowledge) has encountered the Realm of Eternity PRIOR to descending to the Realm of Space and Time. Accordingly, it possesses knowledge of The Eternal Realm, prior to any form of empirical experience on the spacio-temporal level.
Thus, Plato’s Theory of Knowledge considered knowledge to be Innate and not Acquired. It is a process of recollecting or remembering in Space and Time that which has already been encoded within the soul since Eternity. Through encountering The Copy (on the perceptual level), The Soul recollects knowledge of The Original or The Blueprint (On the Conceptual Level).
For instance, through encountering a particular apple on the perceptual level, one recollects knowledge of the Conceptual Form Apple.
Note: In the Platonic Theory of Knowledge, when Plato says that the soul has encountered knowledge in Eternity PRIOR TO DESCENDING into space and time, the term DESCENDING does not carry any religious connotations. Descending does not characterize a Downward Motion from somewhere up in the heavens towards somewhere down on the earth. Instead, it refers to The Spiritual Fall from a Gnostic state of ONENESS (expressive of Self Consciousness) to a less perfect state of Oneness expressive of Self Conception. To learn more about the mystical side of this Platonic premise, it helps to revert back to The Gnostic Doctrine of The Holy Trinities and The Symbolic Fall of Adam from The Garden of Eden.
Accordingly, to Plato’s Theory of Knowledge, what separates between The realm of Eternity and The Realm of Space and Time is not some imaginary ladder between earth and the alleged skies of heaven – a ladder that the Soul climbs or descends. Rather, it is a veil of forgetfulness that could only be unleashed through an Interactive logic that links The Conceptual to The Perceptual. This logic is activated via a form of Recollection triggered through contemplating THE GNOSTIC NATURE OF EXISTENCE AND THE LOGICAL CONNECTION BETWEEN THE HEAVENLY AND THE EARTHLY.
This Precedence is a Hierarchical Order of Forms that embody Concepts not associated by linear chains of events measured by Time (i.e. one event happening at a time before the time of the happening of another). An all together different Gnosis of Precedence. The nature of this precedence (according to Plato’s Theory of Knowledge) is ruled by logical importance and necessity, and reflected into knowledgeable existence through a matrix-of-forms which constitutes the Fabric of Cognition.
This notion may sound a little too complicated at the moment; however, as we go along introducing Plato’s Theory of Forms, it will become much clearer.
To help illustrate the nature of The Platonic Precedence, consider how the concept Color relates to the concept Redness, or how Even-ness relates to Four-ness, or again, how the concept Motion relates to the concept Time. Without the existence of motion, time cannot be measured, since motion and time happen concurrently. For a clearer example, consider the motion of sand in an hourglass. The sands motion cannot happen before time, as it is a time-measured event, for this would be as if motion preceded time in its occurrence.
Hence, in the Platonic Order of Prior and Posterior, the latter follows the former not by virtue of a numeric or digital logic, as number 2 sequentially follows number 1 in counting. Rather, it is by virtue of The Logic of Translation, just as the Numerals 1 or 2 translate the Meaning of Number itself.
“Number” is any numerals Origin-of-Species, which they all illustrate Descriptively. So also would Descriptions of any Object exhibit The Essential Concept being described. A descriptive element of Apple, such as Redness, on the one hand illustrates the Apple, and yet on the other hand it goes conjoined with the Apple as an inseparable element of its meaningful identity.
Thus, the Realm of Eternity, by Plato’s Theory of Knowledge, is alive and interactive with the Spacio-Temporal Realm. Plato alluded to the nature of this Eternity in his Metaphoric Myths, i.e., Myth of the Sun and Myth of the Cave.
In context with his Theory, Plato compares the nature of Eternity to the Suns nature, which is constantly superimposing its light upon space, causing objects inside of it to vibrantly resonate with visible traits like color, shape, and meaning.
Analyzing Plato’s Theory of Knowledge and his conception of the two realms, The Realm of Eternity vs. The Realm of Space and Time, and the interactive logic that rules the nature of the connection between the two Realms, one discovers that The Platonic case scenario is thus:
The Soul emanates outwards the very element that allows for the identity of the apple to be encountered on the perceptual level in the first place, with everything that the perceptual experience could possibly entail.
To understand this more clearly, consider the role that the sun plays on the perceptual level, which involves the immediate sight of objects in space and time.
Imagine the Sun as an Inspirited Conscious Being, a Mind, coexisting within its giant body, the Universe. Here, the Sun operates on the level of immediate vision as being in the similar role that The Mind operates on the level of knowledge. The Sun, assuming it as a Mind, constantly emanates the very essential substance, i.e., light, that allows for its “self” to identify the objects lit by its own light into visibility in space and time.
It instantaneously emanates the possibility of an objects Identifiable Presence, its Perceptibility, but then later its light is confused as being a medium through which this already existing identity is merely reflected back into sight, being perceived as only a “reflection.” So then also, the human Mind has the power to instantly emanate a Conceptual Identity it is about to experience on the Perceptual Level, in the form of an object, motion, experience, or event.
Expanding more on this, the logic of interaction between The Realm of Eternity, i.e., The Conceptual Realm, and the Realm of Space and Time, i.e., the Perceptual Realm, are conjoined by The Soul, that is, the Conceptual Medium, which momentarily emanates the very entirety of elements that account for the objects’ immediately knowable identity, that is, its Perceptibility.
The Mind, to Plato’s Theory of Knowledge, is the Sun that superimposes the very SUBSTANCE or context through which the Realm of Perception altogether becomes identifiable (before your immediate sight) for what it is in the first place. In the very same manner in which The Sun superimposes through light the reflective context of visibility upon objects, the mind superimposes the context of knowledge-ability upon the meshed soup of existence.
This it does at any level, much less the perceptual level lit by the exterior sun, causing The Substance of Existence inside This Soup to reactively resonate with MIND SENSITIVITY.
It resonates with the Identity of the Mind (The Identity which gives all identities their identifiable form) through meaningful perceptual forms, in the same way as a photo-image is essentially light sensitive, and once exposed to light, it resonates with forms and meanings.
Further clarifying this, Physical Forms constituting the phenomenon of perception at large, emerge in a Descriptive Mode from what has preceded them on the Conceptual Level, not as in independently Informative, or as posteriorly experienced Empirical modes.
Instead, the Mind emanates Forms, Meanings, as well as Contexts through which events and experiences are identified, to completely describe what they Appear as, and have Meaning as in what they contextually are. The Mind, by Plato’s unique Theory, is emanating, let us say, a Conceptual image of Happiness. Now, this image would immediately translate perceptually through spacio-temporal events and experiences that fall within its meaningful context, ultimately inspiring the perceiver to define happiness through those events.
To recap, by Plato’s Theory of Knowledge, events occur descriptively, and not informatively, i.e., to describe the Eternal Form, such as Happiness, being emanated from The Soul outwards, and not as independent empirical experience brought into an occurrence by any exterior chain of causality ruled by time-measured order.
Look around you. Everything you see is there for a meaning that you already know. You may only be too busy to SEE it. What seems to be moving or progressing is not moving away from a meaning that exists into a new meaning that is about to exist, or that has not yet existed; it is not moving towards The Future. Rather, it is moving to describe and translate The Past that has just crossed from The Realm of Eternity to The Realm of Space and Time through a mechanism you are responsible for.
This untimely Past is one that your mind creates momentarily, but which you might be too noised by your own behavioral pseudo reality to recognize. Everything (by Plato’s Theory), that you see and do not see in space and time (in Eve’sRealm), is progressing descriptively back to Adam’s Realm (The Universal Mind). It is not progressing informatively across a timely chain of causality, as it appears to the immediate vision. What you see before your eyes from objects, motions, events, and experiences has no life of its own, no identifiable form or contextual meaning, had you not been at this time in this place, here and now amidst it, emanating its substance from The Sun of your Selfhood (The Mind) and outwards. Even what you do not see before your eyes, right here and right now (yet is happening somewhere else), only translates the collective consciousness of all selves and is connected to your self through your subconscious mind. Your life events, which you witness progressing empirically, on the perceptual level, are like the footsteps of a man progressing only to reveal the meaning of walking and not to inform the perceiver about a future upcoming step this man is about to take and that has not yet happened. The man is simply stepping his way towards The Past, towards the “Concept Walking” that his progressive steps are describing. The man’s steps might only confuse and overwhelm the immediate vision to follow it behaviorally.
Therefore, by Plato’s Theory of Knowledge, all that the perceiver ever encounters on the perceptual level (at large) is an expressive reflection of his own Conceptual Possibility – the innate possibility to create the very mathematics of his experiences in space and time. These reflections might (at times) trick the perceiver into following their motion causally with his eyes, as though they have a progressive life of their own, only to realize their shadow nature.
Plato, in his Myth of the Cave, referred to Shadows that deceptively appear on the walls of a cave (as though they have a story of their own), when in reality they are less perfect lifeless reflections to what is actually taking place outside the cave, in the full presence of the SUN.
Let it be known to you then, that, according to the Timeless Platonic Theory of Knowledge, which has always tricked the Dhumanic minds of those critics across history who proclaimed the Platonic logic to be Poetic Ideology, any form of object, motion, experience or event ever happening, cannot possibly enter the realm of perceptibility unless in a descriptive mode. It must describe that which immediately precedes it on a conceptual level – on The Level Of The Platonic Eternity. Anything occurring Perceptually, here and now, translates that which has just occurred Conceptually , in a split of a split of a split of a split of a second that cannot be measured by any knowable unit of time.
Forms of Precedence that separate The Two Platonic Realms, that is, The Realm of Eternity and The Realm of Space and Time are not ruled by a timely sequential order of precedence, but rather by a Hierarchical Order of Forms that constitute the Essential Fabric of perceptual logic.
The process of knowledge or recollection occurs through an interactive mode similar to the way sunlight momentarily interacts with objects in space and time However, it is not as if, initially, at some prehistoric moment in time, in some unknown dimension, the soul must have been exposed to the Platonic Form Apple. Then, as The Soul encounters a particular apple in space and time, the image of this apple somehow enters the brain, hitting a key nerve that relates to Brain Memory and suddenly The Image of that Ancient Apple some how pops into mind, causing The Soul to say: “Aha, I Remember. I have seen this before in Eternity…This is an apple…”
In conclusion, it is not that the Realm of Eternity once existed at a time prior to the existence of the Realm of Space and Time, as monotheistic institutions (in general) would later assume, then proceed to build empires of dogma based on this illogical space/time gap that supposedly separates The Earthly from The Heavenly.
1.Plato’s Theory of Knowledge is that both the Realm of Eternity and The Realm of Space and Time are inseparable.
2.Both realms coexist and interact instantaneously, like the soul and the body do.
3.The Realm of Eternity superimposes its Conceptual Form upon the Realm of Space and Time; and the latter, in return, translates this Form into the very perceptual mathematics of The Here an The Now.
4.The process happens in a similar manner to the way A Thought superimposes its meaning upon The Spoken Word – charging it with its Expressive Power or, as would an Internal Human Emotion, superimposing its form upon the External Facial Expression that translates it.
